Day 10 - Himeji Zoo, Himeji 姫路 (Kansai Region)

As we casually walked away from Himeji Castle, miscellaneous flavoured iced lollies in mouths; I couldn't help but notice that there was a very large prop of a Giraffe closeby the park area.
I very much needed (at the time) to take a photo of this extremily sacred Japanese mammal (printed on giant photo-carboard) to impress Lupton; however Iain pointed out to me that this was actually the entrance to Himeji Zoo and that the entrance fee was cheaper than the cost of a pint... so we ventured in. :)

After taking not so many photos (surprisingly!) we began heading back to Himeji station and found ourselves heading toward an indescribable cartoony yellow winged man that seemed really quite overjoyed to have his/her photo taken with his/her fellow citizens. Answers on a postcard. Cheers.
